Between Artificial or Natural Grass

A few years ago it would have been impossible to give a strong argument for why artificial grass was better than natural grass other than it was harder wearing and required less maintenance. It certainly didn’t look anything like the real thing and wasn’t at all pleasing on the eye. Indeed, many people would argue that it was embarrassing to have artificial grass rather than something that they were proud of.

Roll on just a few short years and all that has now changed. You still have the benefits that it hard wearing and requires little care and attention but you now also have something that looks like the real thing and complements your home, garden or commercial space. So, not only does it have a multitude of practical uses, it also looks good and feels far better than what was available just a few short years ago.

In the harsh Australian climate, if wish to maintain a natural grass lawn you are likely to find it extremely difficult, not to mention expensive. Some areas, such as Brisbane and along the Sunshine Coast experience long hot summers with the sun baking down on the grass. This is not an environment that is enjoyed by a natural lawn and, if you are lucky, it will just turn a little yellow or brown but in most cases, it will just die as it can’t cope with the conditions.

Artificial lawns, on the other hand, are designed to withstand the extremes of weather. They won’t need watering, cutting or any other of the tasks that you would associate with the real thing. You can sit back, relax and enjoy it rather than seeing it as something that is a chore. They require very little maintenance and will last for years to come. A good quality version will be the envy of your friends so it is well worth paying just that little bit extra to get a premium product that you can be proud of.

Artificial grass is ideal for domestic and commercial premises where it is particularly useful at sporting venues. At sporting venues, it is still hard wearing but has a very similar feel to the natural variety which is important when you think about the AstroTurf pitches of 20 years ago some of the injuries that were suffered as a direct result of the pitch. Thankfully that has all changed with the technological advances and the improvements to the 100% manmade fibres.

If you are considering artificial grass as an option for your premises it is important that you choose a company that you can trust. You need a product that will be able to stand up to all the rigours that you are going to throw at it and, not only, that look just like the real thing. A professional company will address all of these matters and give you exactly what you are looking for.
